This allowed him to capture ambient noises such as breathing, the creaking of the piano's mechanism, and even the creaking of the wooden floor – sounds that other producers would typically avoid. "My headphones become a microscope, allowing me to immerse myself in the world of inaudible sounds," Frahm describes.
